Fastrack66 RAID card Problem

Hi,
I have a PIII 933Mhz w/ 384 SDRAM using a Asus CUV4X Motherboard.
I installed this FastTrack66 card using my two harddrives from Western Digital both the same size, speed, exacly the same!
The instalation was smooth, but the only problem I'm having is that when I have a heavy file transfer on my network or if I try to install any program, the computer freezes!!
I'm using Windows 2000 Ad. Server ( I also tried w/ Win2000 PRO and Millenium) same problem....
I already updated to the latest drivers.... I already upadted the motherboard the bios of the promise card, and I' using the latest drive fom promise Fasttrack66!
I don't know what to do anymore! Does anyone had a similar problem or knows how to fiz this problem??
I already tried the promise support and it sucks!! hehehe I know more then the guy over there! ( that was the impressino that I got)....
Anyway I would really appreciate any help!

Same problem here,i'm running a PIII 700 on an Asus P3V4X and get the same thing with a Promise Fasttrak66 using 2 Quantum LM 20 gig drives.The raid setup works great in win98se.I've searched the Promise site and came up empty.I'm looking for suggestions also

Do you think that it's a hardware problem?? Maybe the two cards (yours and mine) are defective??
Did you call promise suport? I did and they tried everything and fot nothing...... finally they told me to mail the card back to repair.......
Do you have another option?

Could be,maybe i'll give them a call Monday and try and RMA it.I really don't think my card is defective though,because it works fine in any other OS except Win2000.I do believe Win2000 has a software raid solution in the hardware settings of the control panel.Going to mess around with it this weekend.

Strange....
I;ve done multi gig transfers on my hacked promise fastrack and it does not freeze ever...
My system has been juiced but it was working fine with dual 468, 256 meg SDRam, and 2 22gxp Ibm deskstars.

Well i've come to the conclusion that my Fasttrak66 does noy work properly on my system with the NTFS file system.I've been wanting to install Win98se on a duel boot with Win2000.I don't know a way to install Win98se on a NTFS partioned drive,so i dumped everything and formated with 1 fat32 partion.I then installed Win98se and finally Win2000 leaving the hole drive on a fat32 partion.Win2000 seems a little faster and i've done multi gig transfers with 0 errors.The only downside to this is i loose a little file security,but i'm happy for now.
We just purchased Partion Magic 6.0 and i'm going to play around with the file systems and get Win2000 back on a NTFS partion and go from there.
