I've got XP Pro SP1 with all patches running on Intel PERLK mobo with 1 gig of DDR and P4 2.6C. The main HD is WD SATA 200 Gig and XP as well as all drives are running NTFS. Video is provided by GF3 Ti200, and the rest (audo/network, etc..) come from the mobo. Oh, and I did install the Windows Media
Player 10 beta.

At first this used to happen when I left the ipod mini plugged in and rebooted the computer. I woud log in, and during startup, itunes eventually launches and i get the BSOD. I could work around that, but now whenever I plug in the mini, computer BSOD's when itunes launches up.

I googled around, and only found this link:

However, it doesn't seem like anyone answered this guy.

Has anyone seen anything similar?

I can't comment on your particular problem, but perhaps this may help. A friend of mine has a 40 gig ipod with close to 9000 songs. He was having all kinds of problems with it. When I looked at his setup, I didn't like itunes at all, It seemed to be a bloated, too automated prog. I found him a prog called Anapod, installed it, and removed all traces of itunes. He has been using it for a couple of month's with absolutely no problems. If I remember correctly, it adds cababilities as well like upload etc. I highly recommend it .
