Fastest TBird to use in the KT133 board. Prices on UBid are cheaper for the 1.2 than 1.0

This query pops up occassionally in the monster thread on the HotDeals board involving the Overstock barebones for $73.

I note that in:
Overclocking the KT133

they say that the KT133 board can handle the higher FSB IF you do some PLL modification. (now depending on the cost of that modification it might now be worth it)

BurningRome mentions "OK- the PLL clock chip in this motherboard is IC Works (ICW) and the part number is W230H. Right next to that 14.3MHz crystal. I see W230 at the CPUCool web page as one of the usable ones."

My question is:
What happens if you go with the 1.2 266 FSB?
Assuming the power supply can handle it (which is a leap of faith because it is 'only' 250watts)

Can it be clocked down? :(
(Yeah I know heresy)

Reason I ask this is:
It seems that some of the 1.2's FSB266 are going cheaper than the 1.0GHz on Ubid.

BTW if anyone wants to explain the utility tweaks:
SoftFSB
CPUCool and
CPUFSB
that would be cool.

TIA.
