I'm using the latest Axiom Crossbread. Very smooth and fast for me. I was using AOKP before it and it was also a very smooth rom. I prefer Axiom slightly for some of the toggles and tweaks it has. Getting better battery life so far and I've yet to mess with the kernal. Also seems just a touch smoother. Hardly a difference between them though.

Also tried CodenameDroid. It was pretty good but didn't have the extra tweaks I like.

I'd say pretty much any well polished rom is pretty smooth on the GNex.

So why exactly do you need a rom for galaxy nexus? I assume Stock ICS is fast enough for most people.

You should give it a shot. Running out right now. Very smooth and solid. It's got a few things I hadn't seen yet as well. Quick charge usb which I hear has become standard.

Also I haven't had issues. Everyone has things they like though. This one has most of those for me.

so i can beat the wp7 lol

The camera is instantaneous on the galaxy nexus, as for the directions thing just use the right app. I would try to find all the challenges on youtube and practice before hand, put the apps on your homescreen and disable the lockscreen.

Axiom Crossbreed, it's the 4.0.4 base merged with AOKP, plus DroidTh3ory's custom scripts.
