I currently have a 1.2ghz tbird. Thanks to price drops, I'd like to upgrade.

What's the fastest I can get?

hmm...according to the epox website, it says 1900+...

that doesn't seem right.

last bios update was around march too.

an epox 8k7a owners here that are running athlon xps 2000+???

i have a 1900+ running fine and my friend has a 2100+. The Tbred runs a 1.65v which I believe is the same as my old 1.4 Tbird, so I don't think voltage should be a problem.

ps. for the record, i have an 8K7A+.

the 2100+ is detected correctly?

hmm...maybe epox should update their supported processor list...

Thanks for the info!

EPoX has always been slow to update their supported proc list. I had my 1.4 Tbird on an 8K7A for 5 months before it finally showed up on the list. Try a 2100+, just make sure you've got the latest BIOS.

It should be able handle a 2100XP with the latest BIOS. Before upgrading to the 8k3a, I had my 2000XP running just fine with my old 8k7a+.

I currently run an XP 1800 that is overclocked and recognized as an XP 2000. I updated the bios last winter but dont know if anything later is out there. My first solid no problem mb since my old aopen Ax6bc. Picked up another 8kha plus for the same reliability.
