If you mean an 815E that does not have Tualatin support, it would be a PIIIEB 1 GHz. If it does have Tualatin support, a PIII-S 1.4 GHz.

It's the i815e based asus cusl2.

I know it's the i815e. I'm not sure how to tell if it has the Tualtin support or not, but I'm guessing it doesn't. Does anyone know how I can tell?

The Cusl2 just doesn't.

I'm not shure the p3 1 ghz is the fastest though. A celery 900@1200 or a 1000@1333 mhz should be faster. Perhaps not in Quake 3 but in most other cases,, I think.. and it's alot cheaper.

Well, not counting price or overclocking potential, the fastest PIII out of the box for a CUSL2 is a PIIIEB 1GHz.

That is correct, 1GHz is the fastest non-overclocked CPU u can get. I also have that mobo (CUSL2) btw. The CUSL2 does not support the new (overpriced) Tualatin CPU's; the newer TUSL2 and TUSL2-C motherboards do, but they're a waste to get because why not just get a P4 mobo instead.

I bought an OEM 1.1 GHz 100FSB P3. well, the bus speed might limit it a bit, but clock speed is faster.

Overpriced? I don't think $70 at Newegg for a Tualitin (Cely 1.0A) or $90 for a Tualy (Cely 1.1A ) is over priced... These are PIII equivelent processors except there are no 133 FSB versions (yet, maybe never).

Sorry about being unclear there. I meant the Tualatin P3's: they're so overpriced is stupid. The Celerons are awesome, I'm even thinking of trying to dump my old CUSL2 + P3 733 on someone and just get a TUSL2 + 1.0 or 1.1 Celeron and just setting it to 133 FSB. Does anyone know if the 1.1 Tueleron go to 133 FSB easily btw?

There are some i815e Chipset Motherboards out there that do support the Tualatin.. both the P3 and the C2. ]Supermicro even has a MATX i815e motherboard that supports the P3 1275 with 512K cache as does Intel
