Fastest nonSCCI HD for my winXP machine.

I want to upgrade my computer, it has a 160G HD, 7200RPM 2MB cache which is about 3 yrs old. I want to upgrade to make it little faster by adding a HD with all my winXP and program files.

I know SCSI is ideal but the cost of separate card and drive I don't want to deal with. Would like someone to suggest a small FAST HD.

thanks,

gychang

I hear the Maxtor 16 MB Cache is kinda close to rapter speeds and are are way cheaper, I'm getting a 250 GB Maxtor 16 MB cache drive on Wensday for $175 CND and at the same store I think the Raptor 74 GB is $250.

I've read alot of reviews on them and the people that own them really like them and say they are fast !!

Alot of people here do not like Maxtor drives though.

I think Maxtor makes great drives,
but if you want speed and do not care about storage, the 74GB Raptor is made for you.
