If I were to buy one right now, which motherboard should I get? I'm really eager to buy new parts for a new comp and I'm wondering if I should just wait for the nForce3 or just buy the fastest nForce2 Pro mobo available now.

What's your budget like PCboy? If you want to go NF3 then you are gonna have a steep bill to pay. Athlon64 chips are NOT going to be cheap for quite some after release. But if you have ungodly amounts of money to burn and want the latest and greatest then wait for NF3/A64.

If you are on any kind of realistic budget, then get an Abit NF7-S,a Barton 2500+, and 1GB (2 x 512MB) of quality of PC3200. You'll spend about $400 on that combo and it will be the basis of a screaming game machine. This is the way I'd go personally even if I had obscene amounts of free cash laying around.

According to AnandTech, the fastest NF2 board right now is the DFI Lan Party NF2 Ultra.
