Fastest Mousepad?

I'm using a Func 1030 pad with an MX1000 with teflon feet right now but I'd like a faster mousepad.

I've heard good things about the C4-NGEN. Are there any that are faster than that?

Depends what you want. They have cloth (razer) or glass (icemat) or teflon type (icemat).
They all claim to be the fastest. Preference, really.
I use the razer. It grips the mouse and its good for FPS's much better than glass, IMO. The teflon is in the middle of the two, and is good also. I have one of those also, but use the razer more. Not so slidy all over the place and better accuracy.

I don't play FPS's that much. I just want something that's virtually frictionless. As long as it tracks, I'm OK.

I use this

Razer Exactmat

It has 2 sides, one is a slightly rough surface that allows a bit more control, the other is a flat smooth surface that gives faster movement.

I have the C4. I was using an XTrac Hybrid, and the C4 is definitely more slick. It is a thin pad which does wrinkle (permanently) easily, but this should not be an issue unless you intentionally abuse it.

Durability is excellent- have been using mine heavily for about half a year with no signs of wear whatsoever.

I should mention that I use an optical mouse with teflon mouse tape. I belive that the company that makes the C4 sells mouse tape by the roll. One roll should last you a lifetime easily. I have no idea how well it would work without tape.

Overall, I am happy with the pad. It is worth mentioning that if you sweat a lot, you will need to wipe it down constantly.

Edit: The C4 is much, much slicker than even the slick side of the 1030, from my personal experience.

Why not get a faster mouse?

I'm currently using a G5 + Func 1030, on the "rough" side @ 2000 dpi I can move across 3840 horizontal pixels in about an inch of mouse movement. It frustrated the hell out of my g/f until I showed her the on the fly resolution switching on the mouse. :D

My last mouse was an MX1000, the G5 is FAR better. I would imagine a G7 would suit you well.

By fast, I mean slick. I like having to move the mouse, I would just like a more frictionelss surface.
