Hi guys,
I asked this a long while back and I believe it was a 5500 or 5600 series AMD card, is that still the case? I'd like the speediest PCI-E that does NOT require the additional power to the card.
Yeah maybe low profile is the word, I don't think the case I'm putting this in has room for a card like the 6670 as it takes 2 slots on the back...
The Radeon HD 6670. It's a mainstream card, though, not low-end. If you're looking for a low-end card then get the Radeon HD 6570. The 6670 is about the same speed as a Radeon HD 4830 and a GeForce 9800GT. If you're looking for a considerably cheaper alternative to the 6670 while only losing a bit of performance, you can get the 5670 for $20-30 cheaper. That one is around the same speed as the Radeon HD 4770. Your choice.
Thanks guys, all of you. That 6670 looks like a hell of a deal around $65 after rebate as well. I like the XFX model, and I will be sure to get the DDR5 version as opposed to the cheaper DDR3 model. I don't need top-notch performance but I also want something better than say a 5450 (which works fantastic in my home theater machine, but not for gaming). The main requirement is no additional power required, as this rig's power supply doesn't even have the AUX cable for it...

Where are you finding a DDR5 6670 for $65AR? The cheapest I can find one is $75AR.

Just so you know, those are in fact, not the cheapest prices around...
Some prices recently went up a bit but you can in fact find a 5670 ddr5 for $60-$65AR as well as a 6670 for $70-$75AR.

1.) 6670 = same as 4830 / 9800GT
2.) 5670 = same as 4770
3.) 6670 > 5670
Let me get this straight. You are saying:
1.) 6670 = same as 4830 / 9800GT
2.) 5670 = same as 4770
3.) 6670 > 5670
How can that be when the 4770 is faster than a 4830 and 9800GT?
