I was gonna buy a small 80GB for system and 200GB for storage but have seen it mentioned that the outside of a 200GB is faster. Does anyone have any links to a tutorial on partitioning and setting up the perfect drives?
Would i be right in thinking for photoshop and video editing you could:

Drive 1:

partition 1 - system

partition 2 - scratch disk C

Drive 2:

partition 1 - scratch disk A

partition 2 - scratch disk B

how do make sure the OS is on the outside of the platter?

dont want to go for a raptor as are too noisy for my delicate ears and dont think I need a RAID yet.

1st Partition will be on the outside and if you are going to use both HD's full time after the install put the XP swap file on the 1st partition of the other HD...
