Hello Everyone,
I have an Abit VT6X6 motherboard that I really like, but the only problem is that Abit (and its vendors) do not think its worth supporting on the BIOS front for CPU speeds beyond 800MHz. Real bummer, because I REALLY like the aspect of being able to boot specific hard drives from the BIOS instead of using a software-based boot manager.
According to Abit, this motherboard will support Slot 1 PIII/Celeron processors up to and including 800MHz. My problem is determining the best price to performance options while retaining the use of this motherboard. Has anyone used a faster than designed for CPU on this board?
