i currently am running a p3 700@933 and i think its seeing the end of its life. ive had to up the voltage a few times to make sure it doesnt crash during my games.

the abit be6-II is a slot1 board, but im currently running the converter to use the FCPGA chip. im pretty sure p3's stopped at around 1ghz.

i think a remember the newer celerons had more L2 cache that rivaled the p3's or something. i dont know

so could someone help me find a new cpu? i dont have the funds to do a compete mobo/memory/psu/etc upgrade. =[

You can get an Upgradeware Slot-T slocket for $20 and a Tualatin Celeron 1.4 GHz for ~ $60 box retail.

just found the old thread here through a little searching
here

how can i check what mosfets i have on my board? what do i look for?

ok just did some more research.

i check the little black boxes on my be6-II and it seems i have 55n3 mosfets. so theoretically i *should* be safe when running a 1.5v?? i also have a 1/4 pci divider in my bios.

id LIKE to use a 133fsb, which means my options are a 1.1 celeron tualatin from what i understand.

from what i can tell, the 1.0a and 1.1a celerons that overclock well use 1.5-1.6v voltages. should i risk it with my 55n3 mosfets?

great. so it wouldnt be outrageous to think that the 55n03 could handle say 1.6v required for an o/c like that?

I have this motherboard with a 1.1 cuMine on it. You have to watch out for HS height and the memory slots (as usual with slotkets) but not really more so with the new tully cores. What I would be concerned about is the agp divider. I don't think you have a 1/4 divider in the bios. Maybe you can use a PCI graphics card?

Some AGP cards are better with higher AGP bus above 66Mhz than others. It's kind of a hit and miss.

I just purchased a Tualatin 1.2G celeron from NewEgg and put it onto my be6 II board through a slocket. It is running win xp at 1.6G w/ 133 FSB. But I had to turn off softmenu III by a dip switch on the mobo, otherwise it won't boot at all.
