Fastest CPU for my motherboard?

I currently have an ASUS A7V266-E with an Athlon 1900+ (1.6GHz) installed. I was thinking about trying to squeeze a bit more usable time out of this great board by installing a faster CPU. I can't seem to find any specific info on the ASUS website as to what is the fastest CPU supported by the A7V266-E, it only states "Socket A for AMD® Athlon XP / Athlon / Duron 550MHz ~ 1.4GHz+ CPU". Anyone have any information that would help me out? Thanks.

I believe that with the latest bios you can use a 2400+. I used one on mine. That was a year ago. Check the bios updates. It will say what cpu's they have allowed for in new bios releases.

Probally any socketA CPU with a 133mhz bus.

The fastest created was a 2600+. But keep in mind they were made using both a 133mhz and 166mhz bus. So be sure to find the 133mhz bus version.

anything that's not a barton and 266mhz, so you can get a regular 2400+, or possibly a 2600+ (the non-barton ones are tough to find)
