Hi I am new to the forums and have been looking around for the fastest 2x2gb kit on the market.
My system is slowly coming together. So far this is what I have.
EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard
COOLMAX CUQ-1350B ATX 12V V2.2 / EPS 12V V2.91 1350W Power Supply
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
EVGA 512-P3-N841-AR GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

This is what I found on Newegg.
GeIL Evo One 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

I am thinking of running this because I have read the issues of running 4 DIMM's on the nVidia chipsets. I want to run 4gb and overclock to 1200+. These are the only one that I can find that users are reaching these speeds.

Tell me what what you all think. Thank you.

Geil isn't overly popular for whatever reasons from what i've seen.

It looks like a good kit, but @ $220, it's not worth it IMO.

You could get the G.Skill DDR2-1000 or Mushkin DDR2-1000 kits & with some luck, clock them to the same levels, & they're around ~$100 less.

newegg reviews aren't the best for 100% accurate info, but the users buying that kit had trouble getting it to run the rated speeds, which doesn't surprise me.
That kit is likely Powerchips like all the other good 2x2 GB kits, which means you MUST have a loose TRFC set to reach those speeds, not to mention a solid motherboard & knowledge of what you're doing to be able to set it up for those speeds.

If you want DDR2-1066, i'd get this Team Xtreem: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820313043
