Some of the newer z77 motherboards have mSATA slots on them or mPCIE slot that accepts a card with mSATA connectors.

If I want to take advantage of Intel's SRT (basically using a 64 g SSD to cache for a hard drive), does it matter which way I go? The mSATA drives are typically a lot slower than the new sata3 drives but i dont know if that makes a difference? Has anyone here any personal experience with mSATA drives?

Microns C400 mSATA drives are exactly the same and same performance as the 2½" versions. Also known as M4.
