Faster Mouse?

Currently in my mouse settings under Control Panels, the pointer speed is set to the highest (fastest) but I'd like to make it even faster. I remember the good old days of Win2k where you could really speed up the mouse significantly, which XP seems to have cut back down on. I noticed this the first day I started to tweak my mouse settings because it's a big factor for me because I use a 18" LCD and like my mouse pretty fast.

Are there any hacks, shareware, freeware that can increase the speed of the mouse? I've tried ToggleMouse but I didn't notice a speed difference even though there is a setting for it. Am I just weird or has anyone else run into this issue?

I have mine set to max speed and max acceleration and wish it could be faster too.

Turn off Mouse Smoothing (aka "enhancement of pointer precision" in XP).
It will fly 3 times faster.

BINGO! That helps a lot! Where's the mouse acceleration feature?
