Faster memory ?

I have bought New Memory OCZ2P10664GK
It is very Nice and Fast memory with very Low Cas
However I got me thinking what is the point of memory being faster then FSB ?
Look at ratio ?
Here is my Hardware
Cpu
Memory Module size and kit size:-4GB 2X2GB
CPU- Xeon 3110
FSB used:-1333
Motherboard and revision:- Giga Byte GA-P35C-DS3R Rev 1.1
Motherboard Bios rev:-F12E
Memory

That's what it should be running for speed; all looks well.

If you decide to OC, then you'll need to lower the ratio to allow for an increase in FSB.

Couldn't your question be rephrased into "What's the disadvantage of running the memory slower than the FSB?

Non-technical answer:
The CPU, memory controller and memory sticks all have to do their part. They all, at times, wait for one or both of the others to finish before they can continue. Faster memory just makes the waiting shorter (or longer in the case of slower memory).
