Faster file searches

One of our computers here has a 130MB quickbooks data file on it, and doing a search in it takes about 1:10 or so.

The system is a K6-2/500, 192MB RAM and a 4.3GB hard drive.

After the first search the data file is loaded into main memory and only takes about 40 seconds to complete a search. Since I'm impatient I want to make the search go as fast as possible.

I've set the conservative swap file usage to 1,
Under vcache I've set minfilecache and maxfilecache to 32768 and set the chunk size to 2048.

Aside from upgrading the MB/CPU to something faster, is there anything else that I can do to speed up the search.?
