Actually, now that I think about it, I vary things up.

Fasten, zip.

Zipping first has a higher chance of getting the material stuck in the teeth of the zipper.

You HAVE to fasten first.

If you zip first you run a high risk of catching Mr. Wong in said zipper.

Zip then fasten, zipping is a PITA if you fasten first.
And Atomicus has a point, do you all not wear underwear? Mr. Ding Dong is long gone and hidden by the time I'm zipping up.

I do it either way, depending on if i'm wearing underwear, etc...

If you zip first and it hasn't occured to you that all that time you spend trying to zip your pants would go away if you would just fasten first....if that hasn't occured to you yet I feel for you.
