I read in another thread that somebody mentioned they have the K7S5A and that it
doesn't support Fast Writes on the AGP port? Is this true? Is it a big deal?
You see, I absolutely have to have a stable computer for work stuff. So I decided to build a gaming rig.
One that I can mess around with all I want and still have my work computer for vital stuff. Because the
gaming rig was for fun, I was trying to maximize performance for little money. I decided to buy this MB and
an XP processor. These two seem to like eachother, and I am happy with the Sandra scores.
But if this Fast writes issue (havn't bought the gaming vid card yet), I could use the ECS board as my stable comp
since it seems to be very stable, with my old 1 ghz athlon, and make my 8k7a the gaming rig with the XP processor.
What do you guys think? The 8K7A gets lower mem scores, but would being able to use the Fast writes be able to
compensate and make it a better base for a gaming rig?
