Fast USB Flash drives

I started wading through the variety of 8GB flash drives on Newegg, and my head began to spin a bit. My only real concern is speed, so I am looking for some recommendations on the fastest USB flash drive available in 8GB and 16GB flavors.

I intend to use the drive to serve up ghost images.
The current image we deploy on machines is about 5.75GB.

Any recommendations are appreciated!
 
When I researched it 6 months ago, one of the fastest is the Patriot XT. I bought the 16 gig a while ago and it's so much faster than the normal sandisk and others I was using, read and write.

Here's another question...Would a fast SD card be faster than a fast USB flash drive?
Our computers also have an SD card slot. thoughts?
