Can anyone else with Windows 10 version 1511 verify this?
I've never had hibernate turned on, because I didn't like the fact that it used my disk space, doubly so with SSDs. Anyway, I noticed that after the latest Windows update, my boot times are now MUCH faster than before. The boot circle thing does a quarter revolution before going to my login screen, whereas before it was doing about one and a quarter revolutions before going to login screen.
I checked to see whether the update enabled hibernation, but it didn't. Hibernate is still turned off (although hybrid sleep is on), and I don't have a hiberfil.sys folder. What I do have though, are two folders; $WINDOWS.~BT and $Windows.~WS.
However both folders are only 83kb in size, so they aren't taking up any space.
