fast signal light

When I signal Right, my signal light blinks really fast. I went outside my car with the signal on and couldn't identify any bulbs out from the front or rear. The rate of the blink seems to vary also. Sometimes it will be faster and sometimes slower. What could be the problem?

It usually means a dead or nearly dead bulb. Bulbs might still light on but sometimes very dim, replace whichever one gives a dim light when blinking.

I agree, you have a bad light bulb. Most likely in the back, as a lot of cars use dual filament bulbs for Brake & Turn signals. Some cars use 2 bulbs like this and one of them can go bad and you think it is ok, since the other is flashing. Look at night. You will easily see which bulb is out (do this with the parking / headlamps OFF)

You're overdue for a blinker fluid change. While you're at the mechanic, might want to check out the johnson rod as well 😀

If it's only on one side of the car you can rule out the fuse and the flasher. Just replace the rear (cause usually its's easier to get at) turnsignal bulb with a new one and check. If's still blinks too fast it's the front that is bad. Just make sure you get the right number replacement bulb (check the one you remove or look in your owners manual).;

actually a lot of vtec cars have this problem, it can be solved by changing the vtec fluid.

This happened to me, the indicator relay went.. Look into that.

i had an accord sedan that did this... i solved it by hitting the dash

course, it was an 87 🙂

Sounds like She's fallen for that one already 😛

Seriously it'll either be a bad bulb or the flasher unit. Compare it to the left, make sure all the lights that should be flashing are if they are there will be a flasher unit to replace (oldschool was the circular relay)
