fast scanner

i would like to buy a fast tho not very expensive A4 scanner. I actually own an agfa snapscan 1236s (scsi) and find it kind of slow when tryin to scan multiple photos, mainly because of the time it takes the lamp to get to the photo location. that is why i would really thank any advice about this aspect. thanks in advance.

i have the epson 1200S (scsi). this scanner is super fast! colors r excellent as well.
