fast on modem, slow on router

d-link extreme gamer n router dgl-4500

Direct connection to cable modem and my internet is super fast. I connect to router (wired) and its quite a bit slower. Router can handle far more speeds than my ISP gives me, thats for sure.

I wanted to know if any of these "gamer" type settings or any other i need to change?
It has an option to pioritorize games...should i disable this? Any other settings to make it fast i can tweak?

i can't access my controls for some reason or i forgot the password. odd though or it got hacked.....IF someone near me used aircrack, could they change my hardware control password?.

let me get this strait, you are locked out of your own router? i would worry about that long before becoming worried about the speed. Do a hard reset and go from there.

Step 1: With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back of the unit labeled Reset.

Step 2: Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.
