Fast Hard Drives

Outside of the SSD's, what are the fastest hard drives available? Currently have a Raptor 10k model from last year in my PC. I am weighing my options here on whether an upgrade is in store.
 
Fastest in what? Reads? Writes? Seek time? Latency?

VRaptor is going to be the best overall consumer drive, if there is alot of data being processed SAS is the way to go.
 
the hitachi 1tb is pretty fast...have read reviews on it..even hang there with the 300gb raptor on some benmarks...

and one that is cheap, but fairly quick- the seagate 7200.11 320gb.....seems to get some nice benchmarks..

besides the raptor , that would be the two i buy....but there are probably some other drives that are decent that i am missing
