I hereby decare this the unofficial predictions thread! Rejoice!

What do you think would happen to so and so company in the next couple of years? What will be the next big fad? Who will be the next U.S. president? Will you ever have a girlfriend?

Just to get this started off, i'll add a few of my predictions:

1. The Athlon 64 will become a huge success for AMD. Consumers will buy it because it has "64-bits" and it will have a very smart marketing campaign.

2. The lakers will win the championship next year.

3. Lebron James will choke in his first game.

4. Transmeta and VIA will merge, or VIA wil buy Transmeta.

Not at all hypersonic5, there isn't anything against predicting things on ATOT, I just know where this thread will end up from past experience :beer:

-Music won't get any better
-China will have a revolution, splitting the country into Communist and Nationalist China
-The G5 will earn Apple a sizeable portion of the market, only to have them blow it by not releasing a newer model.
