Fast food places and Lent...

I don't know if this always happens (I'm not catholic so I don't really think about it)... But I've noticed that a majority of places are advertising their respective fish sandwiches. Does this happen every year? Is it for Lent or am I just crazy?

yes, it happens every year for lent. but it has become more common as there are more and more catholics in various parts of the country.

saw $1.99 fish sandwich at Jack in the Crack
the $1 fish snacker at KFC
and McD's is always advertising their filet o fish

Ya, this happens more and more every year. I never noticed it, either, until a couple of years ago, when a catholic friend mentioned it. My wife never noticed until I told her a couple of weeks ago.
