how serious threat is posed by Fast Download Accelerator which has tracking data mining/adware ?

the program itself is ok as a downloader but installs a FDA tool bar too. .

when uninstalling " FDS" Fast Download Accelerator
how can one be certain to have FULLY removed any lingering "tracer hooks" or whatever they are called ... that may have been placed on my PC - this last question would apply to anynumber of programs a person discovers that have "hooks " and want to uninstall and REMOVE all trace.

but star downloader is a good download acceleraton version 1.5 is free and has no adds
 
Beware of DL accelerators currupting files, causing the DLed files useless... Its a pretty common occurance, especially with patch DLs..
