Farting in Cans

If you were to fart in, say, a coffee can and seal it up with the plastic lid, assuming the lid was air tight, would it still stink after I open it a couple years later?

Considering farts have quite a few bacteria etc in them, there would something growing in it I'd say, and you'd probably contract something from it if you smelled it.

I don't think the bacteria would have anything to feed off of, so after a couple years I assume they'd be dead and the smell gone along with em.
