Life is a constant adventure, a journey that begins when you're born and ends somewhere in the hazy mist of the future, in a place where all good things come to an end. Along the way we make choices and make friends, and we experience moments of clarity that we can look back upon and say to ourselves that here is a moment in time where the river forked and we chose a particular path. We make a committment and take the first step, and all other possibilities will forever remain within the realms of possibilities and might-have-beens.

For me this moment begins tomorrow. Sometime after 3pm I will walk into the Wyndham Hotel in downtown San Jose to join others like me, and after spending the night, we will all be bussed over to the MEPS facility at Moffet Field, from whence I and some others will be shipped off to Basic Training for the United States Army. I will be back when I can, but it will be a little while.

Today I'm working on finishing some of the packing, and as part of the process it's time to take down the home network. So I'd like to take this moment to thank everyone for just being the crazy people that you are, and say that I will miss this place.

Take care,

John

good luck man thsi is for you

I've met some people along the way, some of them split some of them stay, some of them walk some walk on by, I've got a few friends I'll love till I die From all of these people I try to learn, some of them shine some of them burn, some of them rise some of them fall, for good or bad I've known them all We live our life in our own way, never really listened to what they say, the kind of faith that doesn't fade away we are the true believers well you can fight or you can run, under a rock till the war is won, play it safe and don't make a sound, but not us we won't back down true believers all the way, you and I

Good luck.

I just joined (on Friday) the ROTC program here on campus. Maybe I'll be your 2nd Lieutenant in a couple of years ;).
