FarCry HDR enable?

I tried adding -DEVMODE "r_hdrrendering 7" to the shortcut like some sites says and have the latest patch. But for some reason I don't see a bit of difference outside. I have a 7600GT.

You don't need to enable devmode for HDR.

Here's the steps:

Start the game.
Press the ` key (right above the "Tab"
Type /r_hdrrendering 0-10 0 being off. 3 or 7 are the best numbers to have.

k thx I'll try that. BTW I am playing it again but mainly the outdoor levels. Is there a command to skip levels? I never did like the indoor levels the first time I played it through. Or that jungle level with all the bridges going from tree to tree.

EDIT:Just tried that and didn't see a difference. Am I suppose to restart FarCry?

im pretty sure /r_hdrrendering is the correct command.. make sure you have the latest patch. afaik HDR wasnt introduced until 1.2

Trust me, you'll see the difference. It might get a little brighter. HDR was introduced with 1.3 patch AFAIK.

Change the shortcut to just the "-DEVMODE" and then while ingame use tilda key and try \r_hdrrendering 7 (note the direction of the \). You can use any number between 1 and 11 but I think a lot of people say that 7 looks best?

Finally, to enable HDR, use the following console command:

To enable HDR: \r_hdrrendering 1

The value shown here can be anything between 1 and 11, each selection will use slightly different settings for HDR rendering. The general consensus is that using a setting of '7' gives the best results, but everyone will no doubt have their own preference.
