Far Cry XP 64

I installed Far Cry on XP 64. When I click on they icon, it starts then disappears. Has anyone experienced this, or know of a fix?
 
This will probably make me sound like a pecker but do a search.
I know this issue has come up before.

Is it the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Far Cry?

That is what I am doing. I tried googling it and nothing came up. So Now I'm trying to find someone on a message board.
