Far Cry wont display video!!!

me and a friend are trying to play coop over a lan and im missing tons of textures...like A LOT OF THEM! i dont know whats wrong because its happens with 2 different mods and it works fine on his PC whether he hosts or join a server. i also just changed my driver from catlyst 6.9 to 6.8 to see if its driver related, and its not. using farcry 1.3 Help!!!
