Far Cry with x800xt

My friend is concerned because with his Brand New computer from Dell freezes in Far Cry.
He has it on highest settings everything turned on. Please help.

Computer specs:

x800xt PE
Pentium 4 3.6 ghz
1gb value ram

But its a Dell !! seriously, something is wrong with that PC. I have an X800pro, and no problems.....

thats another reason why dell is no better then any other vendor. words are just words. call dell support and see if they'll repair it for free or wutever. otherwise, how are temps? perhaps the memory is faulty or the vid card is bad. run memtest86 and see if its the memory.

Try downloading the latest patches for the game, latest catalyst drivers..try benchmarking to test card etc..

It runs Doom 3 perfectly.It freezes only on Far Cry, but no lag. Also froze once on medal of honoracific assault demo and C@C generals. Also Far Cry says he should run on low settings.

What Dell system does he have?

I had a Dell 4600, and after adding a FX5900, it would get to hot in there and crash. When I opened the side panel the temp was so high in there that the metal inside would almost burn your hand.

The rear 92mm fan did not move enough air thru the PC.

ummm, he has that huge XPS it's so big he can't fit it under his desk. Anyways, can someone give me a link to a program for temp. any help will be appreciated.
