Far Cry water looks *terrible* on GTS8800 320mb!

I just got my new rig together.

Thanks again Zebo for the CPU; it's running at 2700mhz and I just started overclocking it.

Anyhow, the water in Far Cry looks awful. I'm running the latest drivers. I'm about to patch the game but I have a feeling it might be an nVidia issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

I had that on my 7900GT too.

Latest patches will fix it.

Patch it. My 7900GT had the same problem until I patched it.

The patch fixed it.

If it wasn't a 180mb download I would have updated this thread sooner.

I just upgraded to a 8800GTS recently and most of the textures were pretty messed up until I patched Far Cry to the newest version, I think it's 1.41. Then it all went away, except the occasional kicking me out of the game when it's loading a new level.

Its a fun game. I think many use it just for benchmark testing though.
