Until the law was changed in 2005, Boll was able to acquire funding thanks to German tax laws that reward investments in film. The law allowed investors in German-owned films to write off 100% of their investment as a tax deduction; it also allowed them to invest borrowed money and write off any fees associated with the loan. The investor was then only required to pay taxes on the profits made by the movie; if the movie loses money, the investor got a tax writeoff.
no shit he makes all these movies. his movies are a huge tax shelter for germans. People probably invest hoping his movies would lose money

I would watch a "bad" movie but only if it was unintentionally bad. I know that there are tons of movies that are really bad on purpose. That defeats the purpose of a bad movie.

EDIT: I don't know if what I said makes sense...I need a cup of coffee..

Haha, I watched it on NFLX streaming last night. I watched the whole thing but was just half paying attention to it as I was working on some stuff on the computer in front of it. It was so ridiculously bad I found it funny. Two observations:
1) Emmanuelle Vaugier (Valerie) is hot - alas Google Images doesn't bring up anything too revealing :(
2) Side note really, but I don't see him in many films, the big guy who plays Max in the movie was in Gladiator.

LOL...Bloodrayne was like the worst movie ever!!!

Michael Madsen was hilarious! No enthusism, no emotion...I swear he was drunk or stoned the entire time, at least I hope he was...

Other than that the directing and script, I mean, everything about it was horrible...almost worse than Black Knight!
