What I think is that you are a sucker for "smooth as butter" gaming and you run in fear of anything below 60FPSI respect that because we all have our own preferences. However I do not consider Far Cry a fast person shooter like unreal is. It is an adventure-action oriented FPS where you explore the environment and play slowly so 30FPS is plenty for this game in my opinion. It even gives you the chance to check out the beautiful environments because the game is not fast paced at all.

actually, the only thing you need to crank down is the lights. turn them to low, and everything else can be on high and your frame rates will dobule. i was getting over 150fps at lower resolutions.

how do you get double the fps i get when my machines clocked at 3.5ghz? i only get ~30 at 1600x1200 with everything maxxed out.
