Far Cry not starting with a LiteOn iHAS424-98 drive....

My dad likes Far Cry...suddenly his iHAS424 stopped playing it (the splash screen comes up for a long time and then errors in event viewer).

it works in his other drive an ASUS DVD-RW.

It used to work in both.

Anyone know a reason. The whole PC was built this year with all new parts.

Dirty lens? Have you checked for new firmware? Time for a No-CD crack?

The latest patch for the game removes the CD check.
