Just got Far Cry and installed, played with 1024x768, and everything on high, no aa, no vert sync. Now I get these really weird graphics. I took a screenshot of it, if someone can tell me where to go to get it I will post the screenshot. I have looked for it in the Far Cry folder but can't find it. Here are my system specs

P4 2.6c @ 3.2
asus p4p800
2 x 512 corsiar xms 3200
nvidia 5900

dynasty, what happens if you select "Configure Far Cry," & then click on the "Video Options (Advanced) TAB and select "AUto Detect?"

Sounds similar to a problem with v1.1 I have. I'm running v1.0 because although 1.1 renders faster than 1.0 on FX5900, I get this progressive corruption of the list of textures, causing some kind of yellow venetian blinds to increasingly fill the landscape. I figured I'll try to finish the game on 1.0, before trying an updated version again. It might be because I didn't restart the game, but continued from an earlier 1.0 save game. I haven't explored that possibility.

Aside from that issue. - The game really looks much better with environment, textures, water and lighting set at 'very high'. - Do try it! My 5900 has no problems at all with that, outdoors. Indoors, there is a curious slowdown. It might be isolated to v1.0. Also, I suggest you set 'particles' to low and I don't see any visual gain in running shadows higher than medium.
