Far Cry Help!

I'm at the point in the game where I have to make my way via humvee from the "Control" base to the "Archiving" base. I couldn't hear Doyle, but he said something about the lighthouse and following the road. But when I follow the road, I get to a bridge that has been destroyed and I have nowhere else to go. Also, the indicator on my compass doesn't seem to point me in the right direction... So my question is, where the hell is the Archiving building?

You can take two routes. One is to jump the broken bridge with the vehicle... Two is to go to the right and follow the road along the beach. Both directions should take you to the lighthouse.

I used the hang glider to fly across the water as far as I could, the swam around the cliffs. You'll see the lighthouse in the distance, just swim to it. It takes a while, but you avoid all the trigens. Kill the mercs at and around the lighthouse, stock up on health, ammo, armor and follow the road to the archives.

Yes, I enjoyed that level. Sort of challenging and it seemed there were several different ways to go, as said above.

I must have wasted at least an hour by taking the wrong road, and trying to battle it out with a huge rocket-launcher tridgen with like 30% life and no armor when I was stopped by a roadblock. Once I figured out to take the second road by the beach, all was well. I never even saw the hang glider - I will have to try an alternate path when and if I replay the game.

You can jump the bridge? I'm sure I tried and failed. Wait - do you need to use the buggy? That could have been my problem.

And did anyone else think the hang glider was totally wasted in the game?

Yes, I thought the idea of the hang glider was cool at first, but it didn't take you far enough. Would have been nice to soar.

One of my fav level too. I just used the Hummvee to ram the trigens, then jumped out with the shot gun to deal with the mercs. I used the glider, but it didn't take me any where I wanted to go. What a rush!
