Far Cry Demo Graphics problems.

I was looking into getting a coppy of far cry because I just put together a $3000 CAD gaming machine. So far it has run everything I have throwen into it. Im running CSS and HL2 with about 98-115 FPS and BF2 runs great with everything on top settings..... But...... I installed the demo for Far Cry and I set the graphix to high. I go to play and there is no normal mapping, no lighting, no water reflections, and the texturing is !@#$ty. Looks prety much the same as it did back on my Dell Dimention 4500. I tried lowering the graphics setting more and no change. Any tips on how to fix.... I got DX9c (same one BF2 made me install) Could it just be because its the demo version..... all the screen shots from the demo show it as looking much better.

Yeah, I'd say it's because it's the demo. It was always buggy as heck. The game isn't though. Plays fine on my 6800GT.

I had the same problem with the 6800 GT in my rig. I patched Far Cry to version 1.3 and it was fine.
