Far Cry 3 graphic glitch

I am experiencing graphic issues playing far cry 3 on my system. For example when I was at top of radio tower the mountains and ship looked weird graphics are not working properly.

My current system specs

Case: Enermax Ostrog GT ATX Mid Tower ECA3280A-BR

CPU: i7 4790K

Motherboard: Asus Z97 Deluxe

Ram: Crucial CRBLS16K1280 16GB

Hard Drives: WD10EZEX 00BN5A0 1 TB HDD and PNY CS1311 256 GB SSD

Blu Ray Drive: WH16NS40

Power Supply: EVGA 650 G2

Video Card: Sapphire Vapor X R9 290 4GB

OS: Windows 7 64Bit

Water Cooler: Corsair H105

Monitor: Acer H257HU
 
Been awhile since I fired this up, but I recall it running quite well on a 3GB 7970 back in 2012 or so... great game

If it's a legitimate copy, you should be able to update the game to the latest version; check your graphics configuration. It kind of sounds like possibly a draw distance or adaptive degradation at play. 290/290x should handle it very well and with a smooth framerate. Start by disabling AA and try a medium spec preset. If everything is okay, bring it up to higher quality and see what happens. Might need to tweak a setting or two, but you can make a profile for the game in RS and override the options that way too.

A screenshot of the issue would also be helpful.

Did you clean your case from dust in the past 6 months? Does the artifacting still happen if you improve the cooling?
