Call your local Office Depot to confirm stock and price match before wasting gas and time. If they allow this, it's a hell of a deal. For the deal noobs, the fact that OM's price out the door and doesn't require a mail in rebate is important because OD's policy is to match out the door price before any mail in rebate.

I haven't yet been able to reach the HP center to confirm they would accept the price matched purchase from OD, but nothing in the terms of their offer says they wouldn't.

I just called one local OD. They have it in stock and the manager says he will match the OM price as long as OM is selling the printer locally. He will not match internet price. I called OM and found out it is internet pricing only. The OM manager can knock off $200 and that is the best he can do. I didn't call every OM/OD. It is definitely a YMMV deal.

Still, if you can get the rebate, $100 for this printer is a heck of a deal.
