Is there any reason it's two lines now?

It makes the yellow section much more intrusive.

Because there are some idiots that still wont see it Im sure. Is it really that big of a deal? Will I have to fight a thread that is trying to get my begging and pleading to the mods undone?
 
I was just wondering why it was changed from 1 line to 2...

Settle down. I didn't ask that the whole thing be removed, just that it be made 1 line again.

No need for me to settle down, I wasnt angry or anything. I dont think the 2 lines is all that bad. But sure. One line on my screen is a little more troublesome than answering the same questions over and over, so Ill forward those questions on to you 😉

Yes, but what good is a tech support forum if the questions are left unanswered? Of course, its hard to see a repost when you dont get out of the OT forum... Oh, yeah you all have that problem too, but without a FAQ that can help. 😉

So seriously, what the big deal with 2 little lines? It helps people see it which in turn helps it get used which in turn helps keep maintenance lower on the servers and may help performance. So whats the downside? Do you have an antiquated small monitor and those 2 lines are a huge part of it?

Its not difficult to understand, but with it being more "intrusive" more people will see the link and hopefully use it. Maybe they could remove it from OT where you seem to spend all your time, since I dont think there are many FAQs available for that forum. They could move it to one line without me bitching too. I dont see a problem with it either way, I just see your complaint as petty. But Im an a-hole so its not a surprise 🙂

Finally something we agree on. My complaint wasn't petty, it was just an idea and a question. I can see it's not going to be answered, so I guess this thread shall die.
 
I'll go out on a limb and say it was changed to 2 lines so that it wouldln't over-widen the formatting for folks running at 800 x 600.

The yellow section is far from my favorite (yet another case of the default font being just a bit too small for my taste) but I'm glad we've a FAQ link
