Before you can retire your old address, you need to have a new address to which you
will send all the old blocks and your new blocks. Change your client(s) over to the new
email address. Crack at least one block. Flush at least one block to distributed.net. Wait
for your email address to show up in the stats. THEN, you can continue with the
procedure below!

NOTE: if you have the ID/pass cookie set for an email other than the one you are
retiring, you should disable the cookie option first for that email. Otherwise it will prove
difficult to get to the "Edit" function for the email you want to retire. If no cookie is set, or
once it is disabled....

1) Go here http://tally.distributed.net/pedit.php3

2) Enter the email address you want to retire as the ID. Enter the 8-character password
for the email address as the password. Note: you can have it sent to you if you forgot.
Just click the "I cannot remember my password. Please email xxxxxxx@xxxxxx.xxx's
password." link at the bottom of the "Edit your Information" page:
http://tally.distributed.net/pedit.php3. If you can't receive email at the address any
longer, you'll have to email distributed.net at rc5help@distributed.net and explain
your situation to them to get it. Note that it might take a while to get a response on this
as Nugget is extremely busy right now!

3) Once you have successfully loaded the edit screen for the email you wish to retire,
scroll down to the bottom...

4) At the bottom will be this paragraph:

If this address is no longer current/valid, you may "retire" its blocks into another email
address.
Before you can do this, you should update all of your clients to your new email address
and wait for that new address to appear in the stats database.
Once you've done that, you may then retire this email address permanently.

The bolded "retire this email address permanently" will actually be an underlined link.

5) Click the link.

6) Enter the NEW email address into the form entry cell.

7) Click on "Search for this email" button.

8) Follow the directions given....

I am not going to detail the rest of the procedure, because I am not sure at what point it
will retire my email address, and I don't to accidentally retire WarpCore's address!

Once the email address is retired, any reference to it through StatsII will pull up the
NEW email address. Once the next stats run completes, the old address will completely
disappear. It does appear that any blocks that are cracked under the old email address
ARE actually re-directed to the NEW email

Hope this helps!
