Fanxpert 2 CPU fan question

Hey guys so I have a 3 pin CPU fan and fanxpert only suppors 3 pin fans on the chasis plugs, is it safe for me to plug my CPU fan into one of the chasis plugs instead?

Boris: what, you mean don't use a cpu fan?

King: sure, no problem, you just need to set 'cpu fan warning' to ignore in uefi to prevent warning message when starting up pc.

Next, in Fan Xpert 2 first use 'Fan Tuning' procedure. Cpu fan will be detected as being a casefan, but this is no problem since Fan Xpert 2 uses cpu temps to determine speeds for all fans anyway. Do note that the profile is less aggressive for the casefans, but you can manually adjust it if you want lower temps.

Plugging fans into motherboard headers does not affect stability. The power draw is not high enough. Unless you have a weak power supply.
