I heard that the HEPA filters were very expensive and hard to find. I ended up buying a Eureka Bagless HEPA from Ubid for $79.00. THe cheapest I have seen the model I bought was about $200.00. I love it.

FYI, The replacement filters are $50. Phantoms also tend to be a bit fragile.

Junk. I work for a company that was a vendor for Fantom. If you could see their R & D department, you would sh_t a brick. Poorly designed vacuums rushed to market. Stay as far away from these things as possible. Buy a Hoover or Eureka, you probably won't be disappointed.

Fantom's are complete garbage... I would be shocked if it lasted you more then 1 year... Also, Last I checked the filed for bankruptcy, so don't expect any support or warrenty coverage.

I don't know how big the were as a manufacturing entity, but the plant here in Columbia, SC shut down last fall. They've shipped out all of the equipment, and only have one guy left here.

crap, i own one of these, you guys make me worry. the one i got is ok, don't use it to often so hopefully it's will last more than one yr. before i have to buy a new one.
