Fantasy Sports Morality Question

There are a few good players that weren't available for the draft in Yahoo. Yahoo will eventually add them to the available roster. Is it wrong for me to grab them before any one else has a chance - thereby essentially getting a free mid to high draft pick?

[edit]I would need to deal with the waiver wire, but I believe that if I jump on the players immediately after they are added, the waiver request will go through unhindered.[\edit]

Yahoo updates their roster nightly (I believe). From experience these players will be added during some nightly update. If I keep checking every morning, I will eventually find them. I can then immediately add them to my team and hopefully slip under the waiver wire.

Grab them as soon as they are available. It's not like you are cheating or anything. The waiver wire is fair game. Technically it gives everyone a chance, so don't worry about it. You are rewarded for paying attention.

It sounds like everyone has the same opportunity to do this as you? If that's correct, then you're playing within the rules, and there's no moral issue with you doing it.

well they'll probably be waiver wire players, and not free agents, so you'd have ot deal with them... i don't see it as an immoral act though.. if they're too slow to act, then that's too bad for them.. it's the same idea as picking up free agents.. no one had access to them during the draft, and everone has the same opportunity to get these picks.. you just happen to check more often

there are more US hockey fans on this board than Canadians from what I can see.
